Manic Street Preachers plan to release their long-awaited seventh studio album in October, the band has confirmed.
The Welsh trio are currently working on songs for the album with Goldfrapp mixer Tom Elmhirst.
The band have also recorded four tracks in Ireland with legendary David Bowie producer Tony Visconti.
So far about 20 tracks have been completed for the album which has two working titles, Life Blood, and Goodbye Suicide.
Tracks include A Song For Departure, 1985, The Love Of Richard Nixon, Firefight, To Repel Ghosts, Emily, Fragments, Askew Road, Solitude Sometimes Is, Glasnost, Always/Never, I Live To Fall Asleep, Cardiff Afterlife, Empty Souls, Voodoo Polaroids and Litany.
The band also plan to release a 10th anniversary edition of their album The Holy Bible including a previously unreleased American remix and a DVD.
A special concert at London's Astoria is also in the offing although no date has yet been confirmed.
The Manics released their last studio album, Know Your Enemy in 2001 although in between they have released a Greatest Hits album, Forever Delayed, and an album of B-sides, Lipstick Traces.
The band are due to join the Who amongst others at the Isle Of Wight Festival on June 12. The festival takes place over the weekend June 11 to 13. Source: Ananova
