Stones legend Richards signs book deal
eteran rock legend Keith Richards has signed a deal worth over $7 million (£3.5m) to write his autobiography.
After weeks of speculation and increasingly large bids from rival publishers keen to tell the story of Rolling Stones guitarist, New York-based publisher Little, Brown sealed the deal.
A spokesman for Little, Brown said Richards had "stood cool at the centre of the hurricane for nearly fifty years".
James Fox, a journalist for The Sunday Times, will write the memoirs with the Jumpin' Jack Flash tunesmith, evidently helping to jog the memory of one of rock's most famously debauched characters.
Richards was given £400,000 to write his autobiography in the '90s , but had to return the cash after he could not remember enough to fill a book.
Assuming he has better luck reminiscing this time, the new book will be released in 2010. Source: Ananova

Rolling Stones wanted £1m for Glasto
Rolling Stones haven't been booked for this year's Glastonbury festival because they demanded too much money.
Although the festival's line-up isn't officially announced until June 1, it is widely known that the Stones won't be making the trip to Somerset, preferring to play the Isle Of Wight festival instead.
According to BBC6 Music, the '60s rockers simply priced themselves out of a performance.
The festival's chief booker Martin Elbourne told the station that the group asked for £1 million to play, and were promptly refused.

Kravitz kept joint he'd shared with Jagger
Singer Lenny Kravitz says he kept a marijuana joint he'd shared with Mick Jagger, for a year as a tribute.
Kravitz said he'd kept the joint because he was such a fan of the Rolling Stones frontman.
However, the remainder of the valued souvenir went up in smoke a year later after he ran out of dope.
Kravitz told Croatian magazine Gloria: "We were performing on the same stage once, and he invited me to go to his place afterwards.
"We talked the entire night, and smoked marijuana. We shared a joint, and I kept the rest of it for almost a year. It was a sign of respect."
Kravitz said his respect though great was not enough - and his souvenir of Jagger went up in smoke.
"At one point I had no grass at home, so I smoked the rest of the joint I shared with Jagger," he added.
Kravitz is scheduled to give a concert in Velika Gorica, Croatia, on June 23, promoting his new album "Baptism". Source: Ananova

Fat Boy Slim to remix "Sympathy for the Devil"
The Rolling Stones will release three remixes of their 1968 song "Sympathy for the Devil" in September including one by Fatboy Slim.
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards gave the Brighton based DJ permission to remix the track because they liked his remix of Satisfaction.
The remix along with two others by the Neptunes and Full Phatt will get radio play from Monday, July 21.
A video of one of the remixes, featuring footage from Jean-Luc Godard's One Plus One film featuring the Stones playing the track at London's Olympic recording studios, has been commissioned to promote the track.
According to Billboard, the mixes will be added to new copies of the Stones' 40 Licks hits package released last year by Virgin Records to mark the band's 40th anniversary.
"Sympathy for the Devil", from the "Beggars' Banquet" album, remains one of the band's best loved records and live favourites, although it was never released as a single in the UK or US.
